Description
The Improvements under this Contract consist of improving traffic signalization infrastructure. This work includes, but is not limited to, vehicular signal re-spans, pedestrian signal enhancements, and other traffic signal upgrades. The intent of this Contract is to provide means for the Department to quickly respond to unexpected safety and/or operational issues for a period of two (2) years or until Contract funding has been exhausted. The number of work documents for the contract will be limited by a budgetary cap of $1,500,000. This contract is for work only within Marion County, Florida. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the work plan, specifications, procedures, and terms of the Contract. The DEPARTMENT will not specify contractor crew size, work methods or equipment complements, provided the desired work quality is achieved as evaluated by the Project Engineer. The work under this Contract will be controlled by the issuance of Work Documents. All work in this Contract is considered specialty work. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, nor the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Department's estimated quantities and the Contractor's bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder, however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work. How to read this. Plan‑pull counts come straight from agency portals. Patterns and confidence scores are derived from comparable lettings (same county, same category, three‑year basis). Confidence is a calibration of past correctness on signals of this shape — not a guarantee of this bid’s outcome. We never round up. More on what Cassandri does →
